How We Test

Every rating on NoToKYC comes from the same process, whether it's a casino, an exchange, or a privacy tool. Here's exactly what we do — and what we don't — so you can judge the reviews on their method, not just their scores.

01) THE ONE THING WE NEVER COMPROMISE ON: KYC

One rule sits above all the others: your identity is yours to keep. We only list platforms that let you keep it, and we grade how well they actually do.

Here's the truth most "no-KYC" lists won't tell you: every licensed casino and exchange has a KYC clause in its terms — the licence forces one in. A clause on a page is not the same as a passport demand at the cashier. So we don't grade the boilerplate; we grade the reality, on a simple 0–3 scale you'll see on every listing:

  • Level 0 — no KYC in practice. The website asks for no ID in normal use — not at signup, deposit, or withdrawal. Verification only on genuine fraud/AML suspicion, the clause every licensed casino must carry. This is the bar every platform on this site has committed to.
  • Level 1 — reserves the right. No routine KYC, but the terms reserve the right to request ID, share data with authorities, or hold funds at their discretion. Rarely enforced.
  • Level 2 — conditional / triggered. Conditional, triggered KYC — verification can fire on thresholds or an automated risk flag, often with a temporary fund hold.
  • Level 3 — mandatory. KYC is mandatory — users can be asked to verify their identity at any time. Rare on this directory; when it appears, we flag it.

If a platform we list is caught demanding ID from ordinary, non-suspicious players, it loses its Level-0 badge and we say so in bold. No exceptions, no matter who's paying.

02) WHAT WE CHECK — CASINOS

  • KYC reality, graded on the scale above, tested at signup and at withdrawal.
  • The money path, first-hand where we can. Where a review is marked tested, someone deposited real crypto, played it through, and withdrew it — timing every step and screenshotting the result. Not yet tested? We say so, plainly, instead of faking it.
  • Licensing and jurisdiction, confirmed against the regulator's own registry — not the seal in the footer. Can't verify it? The review says "unverified", never "licensed".
  • Bonus fine print — wagering, max bet, max cashout, expiry, weighting. The traps that turn a headline number into a loss. If a figure isn't published anywhere, we leave it out rather than guess.
  • Payments and speed — supported coins and networks, deposit-credit and withdrawal times, fees.
  • Games and fairness — real counts, named providers, and whether provably-fair actually works.

03) WHAT WE CHECK — EXCHANGES & SWAPS

  • KYC and custody — does a swap need an account or ID at all, and does the platform ever hold your coins? Non-custodial and no-signup rank highest.
  • The real rate — quoted vs received on a live test swap, so you see the true spread, not the advertised one.
  • Speed and support — send-to-received timing, supported chains, and what happens when a swap stalls.

04) WHAT WE CHECK — CRYPTO SITES & PRIVACY TOOLS

  • Data and logging — what the tool collects, whether it needs an account, and whether it phones home.
  • Custody and control — do you hold your keys, or does it?
  • Open source and audits — verified against the actual repo and the auditor's own page, not the marketing claim.
  • Chains, fees, and platforms — what it supports and what it really costs.

05) HOW WE SCORE

Each review carries a weighted rating breakdown, and privacy always carries the most weight — it's why you're here. For casinos: KYC & Privacy 30%, Payments & Speed 25%, Bonuses & Value 15%, Games & Software 15%, Support & Trust 15%. Exchanges and crypto tools use their own published weight tables (privacy still leads). The number you see is that weighted average — never a vibe.

06) THE THREE-QUESTION RULE

Every review answers, on the record: what works, what doesn't, and what's the catch. The catch — the fine-print trap most people miss — is mandatory. A review that skips it isn't finished. It's written under one byline, Noki, so there's one name to hold to the record.

07) WHAT WE DON'T DO

  • We don't take money to change a verdict. Some links are affiliate links (disclosed, marked rel="sponsored"); they never buy a better score or a better KYC grade.
  • We don't fabricate first-hand tests, ratings, or reviewer credentials. Untested means untested.
  • We don't show a spec we couldn't verify. If a number isn't public and we couldn't confirm it, it doesn't go in the table — no filler, no guesses.
  • We don't coach anyone to evade KYC, AML, or sanctions. We describe what each platform's policy is — privacy, not evasion.
  • We don't publish scraped, spun, or auto-published content. Drafts are edited before they ship.

08) CORRECTIONS

Platforms change their terms. When they do, we update the review and bump its date. Spot something out of date or wrong? Tell the desk via the contact page and we'll fix it under the same byline that published it.
